11th Social Entrepreneurship Forum was held with the support of the European Union

The Social Enterprise of the Year "Tene"

With the support of the European Union, 11th Social Entrepreneurship forum was held on November 17th. The event was organized by the Social Enterprise Alliance and took place at Pullman Axis Towers.

The Social Entrepreneurship Forum has been held since 2012 and its goal is to popularize the concept of social entrepreneurship and spread news about the sector. The forum provided an opportunity to establish and strengthen partnerships between social entrepreneurs and representatives of various sectors. Social enterprises, public organizations, state and private institutions that support the development of social entrepreneurship participated in the event. The European Union actively supports social entrepreneurship forums and overall, social entrepreneurship in Georgia and significantly contributes to the development of the field. The interest to the event and awareness of the concept has been growing year by year with the support of the project Advancing Social Entrepreneurship for Sustainable and Inclusive Society, which has been implemented since 2020 with the support of the European Union.

The forum traditionally revealed the winner of the nomination – Social Enterprise of the Year 2022, which was the culmination of the event. The Social Enterprise of the Year became “Tene” that was awarded by financial support for the development of the enterprise. Other finalists were Social Enterprises: “Dediko” and “Lideri”.

The forum was held in frames of the project “Advancing Social Entrepreneurship for Sustainable and Inclusive Society” implemented by the Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia (CSRDG), with the support of the European Union and the Bread for the World. The project partners are: Social Enterprise Alliance (SEA), Civil Society Institute (CSI), European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA), Georgian Civil Development Association (GCDA), Democratic Development Union of Georgia (DDUG), the LEPL Youth Agency as an associated partner.
