Europe Day in Batumi

Let’s come together to celebrate what unites us #Ertad

23/06/2025

The Delegation of the European Union to Georgia brought Europe Day to Batumi. The event at the Sheraton Batumi Hotel was officially opened by Pawel Herczynski, Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia.

During the celebration, a variety of activities were offered to the visitors of all ages. The EU Member States’ Embassies and various EU-funded organisations provided their rich educational, informational, entertaining, and cultural experiences through historical exhibits, interactive activities, and live cultural performances.

In a showcase of the EU’s work in Georgia, the EU funded project representatives discussed significant contributions their projects had made to Georgia, emphasising the positive outcomes of EU support.

As part of the Europe Day Batumi event, young people showcased their understanding of the European Union’s history, literature, and ideals in an engaging and enjoyable way through the educational game Bookshelf.

Many people visited the Europe Day event, where they were engaged in entertaining and interactive activities, learning about the European Union, and sampling goods and food made by Georgian farmers at the “Unique Georgian Taste” agro-market.
