EU marks International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. It is a reminder about the challenges women still face globally, in the EU and in Georgia.

Gender based violence is never acceptable, but lockdowns and economic challenges has led to an increase of violence against women in many countries during the coronavirus pandemic, including Georgia.
