EU-supported media competition in Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kvemo Kartli regions

02/09/2025

Within the framework of the EU-supported project “Empowering Civil Society for Inclusive and Green Recovery”, CENN announces a media competition for representatives of central, Samtskhe-Javakheti, and Kvemo Kartli regional media outlets.

The aim of the media competition is to raise public awareness about EU-supported initiatives that serve to improve the quality and accessibility of social services, as well as enhance the lives of vulnerable groups (elderly people, children with disabilities and special needs, women victims of violence, and others).

Competition Theme: Initiatives implemented in the Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kvemo Kartli regions within the framework of the project. Detailed information about these initiatives will be provided to all contest participants during the media tour.

Media Tour: To ensure in-depth coverage of the topics, a media tour will take place on September 16–17 in Samtskhe-Javakheti (Akhaltsikhe) and Kvemo Kartli (Bolnisi, Marneuli). During the tour, 15 representatives of central and regional media from Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kvemo Kartli (both traditional and digital media) will have the opportunity to learn about various projects carried out in target municipalities and the results achieved. There will also be opportunities for photo and video recording.

Transportation and accommodation will be provided by the project during the media tour.

Note: Regional media representatives will have the option to visit only the projects implemented in their own region and, accordingly, focus their contest materials exclusively on their region. However, if they are interested in initiatives from other regions, the project will ensure their full participation in the media tour.

Contest Conditions and Submission Process

Submitted materials can be in video/audio or print format and must be disseminated through either traditional or digital media channels. Contest materials must be published after the media tour and no later than September 30, 2025. Participants must submit published materials in the form of a link via email on this address: magda.tsetsvadze@cenn.org by September 30, 2025. In the subject line, please indicate: Media Contest.

The best materials will be selected, and their authors will be awarded special prizes!

Please Note: Only those representatives of central, Samtskhe-Javakheti, and Kvemo Kartli regional media who participate in the media tour are eligible to take part in the contest.

To participate in the media contest, applicants must complete the application form by September 5, 2025.
