On 16 April, 12 Georgian companies specialising in dried fruit and hazelnut production attended the EU-supported online workshop ‘EU export marketing customer communication and preparing for the recovery from COVID-19’.
Participants reviewed their activities in 2019 as well as the current tendencies, and discussed the forecast for the EU market after the COVID-19 outbreak. They also received additional information about future events, such as the trade mission in the EU (Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands).
The companies are beneficiaries of the project ‘Eastern Partnership: Ready to trade’, which is implemented by the ‘EU4Business’ initiative. The project helps small and medium-sized enterprises in the Eastern partner countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine) to integrate into global value chains and access new markets, with a focus on the EU.
