Access to liquidity, adapting to new regulations or coping with a changed market are some of the challenges businesses face due to the COVID-19 crisis. As part of its EU4Business programme, the EU has launched a dedicated website bringing together various Covid-19 support programmes businesses in Georgia.
The website highlights opportunities for Georgian SMEs under the EU’s EU4Business programme, which include:

Anti-crisis business support services such as trainings and advice from experts;

Access to finance via seven partner banks, some of which can offer Lari based loans and take on larger risks than usual due to EU guarantees.
In addition, the website also indicates government programmes available to businesses in Georgia.
Assistance provided by EU4Business is part of the 400 MEUR support package offered by the EU to Georgia to combat Covid-19.
Since 2009, over 40,000 businesses have received EU4Business support in Georgia, including loans, training and advice.
