Strengthening Understanding of European Policies through High Quality Education - Scholarship Scheme for Eastern Partners at the College of Europe, Natolin
Project Description
The Project aims at strengthening the understanding of the European politics and governance among youth from the Eastern Partnership countries by facilitating access of the beneficiaries to the one-year advanced master’s programme European Interdisciplinary Studies offered by the College of Europe, Natolin, in the years 2021-2024.
By providing the opportunities to study at the College of Europe, the Project encourages young people to take part in the democratic process, be active citizens and succeed in the labour market.
Young people from the Eastern Partnership countries will receive scholarships to study in the postgraduate programme European Interdisciplinary Studies at the College of Europe, Natolin, which is located in a historic mansion and nature reserve and welcomes 130 students from more than 30 countries each year.
The studies will strengthen the competencies of career guidance and professional development, participation in political processes, adaptation to change, language skills, and provide many networking opportunities.

Specific Objective
- Fostering active participation of youth in both democratic life and in the labour markets of the Eastern Partnership countries, prioritising disadvantaged youth.
- Contributing to sustainable growth, social cohesion and reduction of inequalities in the Eastern Partnership countries‘ societies.
- Creating conditions conducive to successfully completing the rigorous postgraduate academic programme in European Interdisciplinary Studies offered in English and French by all beneficiaries of the action.

Expected Results
- 75% of the EU4Youth scholarship holders will successfully complete high-quality studies in European politics at the College of Europe in Natolin (complete study cycle).
- At least 60% of the alumni of the EU4Youth scholarship scheme will declare support to their Eastern Partnership home countries in further socioeconomic development by 2027.
- At least 60% of the alumni of the EU4Youth scholarship scheme will declare support to their Eastern Partnership home countries in further socioeconomic development by 2027.
