The Europe edition of the popular game “What? Where? When?” continues its journey around Georgia. The first game of 2024 was held in the 11 districts of Tbilisi and the juvenile colony. In total, over 140 teams were playing in parallel at several locations, involving over 850 pupils.
The questions for the game enable the schoolchildren to get to know more about the European Union and its Member States in a fun and interactive manner. As Georgia is embarking on a journey towards European Union membership, the game engages school students from grades 8-12, offering them a chance to have fun while gaining valuable insights into the EU.
The “What? Where? When?” game series were hosted by George Mosidze (the President and host of the Georgian Club), as well as other club members, including David Gorgiladze, Lasha Kiladze, Alexander Lortkipanidze, Giorgi Bakradze and Anton Vacharadze.
The game was launched in 2023. As of today, over 3,500 young people participated in games in Kakheti, Adjara, Shida Kartli, Imereti, Guria, Mtskheta-Mtianeti regions. Throughout 2024, the game will also be played in other municipalities of Georgia, including Samtskhe-Javakheti, Kvemo Kartli, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Regions.
Together with the Europe Day activities, this quiz game is designed to make learning about the European Union engaging and interactive for the schoolchildren. The game will progress across all regions of Georgia, culminating in a grand finale in Tbilisi, scheduled to coincide with the Europe Day 2024 festivities in May 2024.
