Energy Community opens vacancy for environmental expert

The Energy Community is looking for an environmental expert to join their ranks. The role is based in Vienna, and the selected candidate will be offered a three-year contract (renewable) with a six-month probation period.

Some of the job requirements include:

  • Advanced degree with an environmental focus;
  • At least five years of professional experience in the area of environment, including EU environmental legislation;
  • Understanding of the energy sectors and the political and economic issues in the Energy Community countries;
  • Fluent English.

The Energy Community Secretariat is set up under the Treaty establishing the Energy Community. The Secretariat is located in Vienna and is tasked with monitoring and coordinating the implementation of the Treaty.
