Civic Engagement in the 2024 Parliamentary Election Monitoring

Project Description
The project supports TI Georgia's involvement in monitoring the 2024 parliamentary elections as part of an observer mission. Its primary goals are to mobilize voluntary observers to oversee the electoral process; hold election commissions at all levels and relevant public institutions accountable by identifying and reporting electoral irregularities; raise public awareness about voting procedures; and safeguard each vote by challenging unlawful or unfair decisions through appeals to higher commissions and courts.
Specific Objective
Overall objective: To support free and fair democratic parliamentary elections in Georgia

Specific objectives:
- Foster citizens’, including the youth’s, participation and involvement in the election process;
- Defend citizens’ political rights and ensure their free decision;
- Protect the results of the elections.
Expected Results
The action is expected to significantly contribute to the integrity of the 2024 parliamentary elections in Georgia. By fostering civic engagement, defending political rights, and ensuring transparent election results, the project will support the broader goal of democratic governance in the country. The involvement of active youth, CSOs, NGOs will create a more inclusive and participatory electoral process, ultimately benefiting all citizens of Georgia.
