ENI CBC Black Sea Basin Programme

Project Description
The Black Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020 is part of the European Union’s Cross-Border Cooperation (CBC) under its European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI). The programme aims to improve the welfare of the people in the Black Sea basin regions through sustainable growth and joint environmental protection.
Specific Objective
The goals of the Programme will be achieved by focusing on two themes:

- Business and SME development.
- Environmental protection, as well as climate change mitigation and adaptation.
Expected Results
The Programme will contribute to promoting economic and social development in regions on both sides of common borders in the Black Sea Basin area and will address common challenges in environment, public health, safety and security.
All Programme actions will aim at “people to people” cooperation, promotion of local and regional good governance, promotion of regional integration/coordination, the use and development of relevant information and communication technologies and promotion of gender equality and opportunities for youth.
