Call for proposals: Grant competition for digital skills development of rural enterprises

19/02/2021

With support of the EU, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is inviting Georgian non-governmental organizations to submit their proposals for a grant competition that aims to assist rural enterprises across Georgia in developing their digital skills.

Civil society projects to be selected in a contest are expected to support rural enterprises in harnessing the digital economy benefits, exploring digitization opportunities and adapting to new realities created by the pandemic.

The grant initiative is part of a broader EU-funded ENPARD programme that has been supporting agriculture and rural development in Georgia since 2013 with a total budget of EUR 179.5 million. ENPARD provides economic opportunities in rural areas, aiming to reduce poverty in Georgia. More information on ENPARD is available at www.enpard.ge

Grant competition objectives:

  1. Develop and deliver digital skills training for rural enterprises, including micro, small and medium-sized businesses.
  2. Create an Open Educational Resource (OER) in digital skills considering the rural context of Georgia (access to digital infrastructure, existing skills and service uptake).

Funds that can be requested:

  • minimum amount: USD 15,000.
  • maximum amount: USD 30,000.

Deadline for submissions: 12 March 2021, 18:00 (Tbilisi time)
