PASS - Provide Access to Support for Survivors of Gender-based and Domestic Violence

Project Description
The goal of the project is to reinforce the role of the civil society and position it as effective force to prevent and combat Gender-Based
and Domestic Violence and Provide Access to Support for Survivors (PASS). To achieve this goal, the project will work in three directions: (1) improving existing regulatory framework; (2) increasing population's awareness and (3) providing support to the victims of GBV and DV.
Specific Objective
The project aims to combat GBV/DV through empowering civil society actors and local authorities (to prevent and combat SGBV/DV, strengthen the victims and women potentially vulnerable to SGBV/DV). The project's specific objectives are:

• Prevention of GBV/DV through awareness campaign.
• Provision of legal support and economically strengthening women to leave violent environments.
• Provide urgent support to current victims of GBV/DV through rapid coordination.
• providing support to victims of GBV/DV for their rehabilitation.
• Analyze causes of GBV/DV among men and help perpetrators to rehabilitate and break the cycle of violence.
Expected Results
As the result of the project, policy and legislative framework will become more protective against SGBV/DV and with the implementation of oversight and monitoring mechanisms, Government entities/agencies accountability will significantly improve. Furthermore, harmful perceptions and stereotypes regarding gender-based norms will be decreased, awareness will be increased about SGBV/DV and its prevention mechanisms, resulting in better resilience of the community against gender-based violence. Women, exposed to SGBV/DV will gain economic strength and/or independence, will have access to legal support, enabling them to leave violent environments for their safety and safety of their children.
