EU4ITD - EU FOR INTEGRATED TERRITORIAL DEVELOPMENT

Project Description
With funds from the European Union (EU), UNDP implements a programme to support more balanced territorial development and improvement of population’s living standards through an enhanced governance system in four target regions - Guria, Imereti, Kakheti and Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.
The project supports the implementation of the Pilot Integrated Regional Development Programme (PIRDP) and the Decentralization Strategy 2020-2025 in target regions through policy development, capacity building of national, regional and local authorities, improved service delivery and enhanced public engagement at the local level.
Specific Objective
The specific objective of the project is to advance effective, responsive and accountable national and sub-national governance through promoting decentralization, inclusive and evidence-based policymaking, citizen engagement and better service delivery at the local level.

Broader access to user-centric, high quality and accountable public services
Fostered public participation in the planning and implementation of regional/local development projects
